In August 2025, AI experts arrived in Hong Kong to collaborate with the Hong Kong Tai Chi Association and aimotivation. The discussions centered on the future development of “Tech-Enabled Tai Chi,” exploring how artificial intelligence, motion capture, and augmented reality can enhance Tai Chi’s applications in education, wellness, and cultural heritage. This cross-disciplinary collaboration not only strengthened connections between industry, academia, and cultural institutions but also opened new possibilities for integrating Tai Chi with modern technology, marking a significant step in blending tradition with AI innovation.

The participation of Tai Chi in the 2025 Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival attracted wide attention and positive feedback. In addition to traditional demonstrations, interactive sessions allowed people of all ages to experience the essence of Tai Chi firsthand. The event successfully enhanced public awareness of Tai Chi as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering cultural appreciation. Many participants remarked that Tai Chi uniquely blends physical exercise with cultural depth, making it one of the most distinctive highlights of the Carnival.

The “Tai Chi in Schools” pilot program by aimotivation has been introduced to primary students. Using AI motion capture and gamified interactive design, the lessons enable children to learn Tai Chi in an engaging and enjoyable way. Test results indicated significant improvements in students’ concentration, physical coordination, and classroom participation. At the same time, the cultural values embedded in Tai Chi helped strengthen young learners’ appreciation and interest in Chinese heritage.
